There are so many houseplant gadgets out there all claiming to look after your plants. But you often end up looking after the technology, which misses the point, right?
The Float Planter is different. When it’s time to water your plants, the planter reveals its red rim. From a quick glance around your room, it’s obvious which plants need watering. It’s that simple. No electronics, apps or faff. No more lifeless twigs, or pushing your fingers into soggy soil.
The Float Planter is a self-watering plant pot that waters your plants through a cotton wick. A floating cover hides the internal red pot from view. As the water level drops, so does the float - revealing the red rim when it’s time for a refill.
This project was launched as a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter which unfortunately didn't meet its goal. The crowdfunding campaign provided an excellent experience, something I would highly recommended doing to test the water with novel ideas.
